IS leader in Afghanistan killed, US believes

Hafiz Saeed, leader of so-called Islamic State (IS) in Afghanistan and Pakistan, died in a US drone strike in July, the US believes.
The Afghan intelligence agency said at the time it believed Saeed had died in Achin in Afghanistan's eastern province of Nangarhar.
But IS insisted its leader was still alive, while confirming another senior figure had been killed.
Shahidullah Shahid had defected to IS from the Pakistani Taliban.
